PHUL · 4 Days/Week

THE PHUL ROUTINE

Power Hypertrophy Upper Lower — two heavy strength days and two lighter hypertrophy days, so you build size and your top-end numbers in the same week.

Level
Intermediate
Duration
60-70 min / session
Frequency

Why this split

Power days use low reps and heavy loads to build strength on the big lifts, while hypertrophy days use lighter weight and higher reps to add volume and muscle — running both every week means neither quality gets left behind.

Weekly schedule

Power days come first in the week, hypertrophy days follow after a rest day.

Keep power days honestly heavy — aim for the top of the rep range only when the weight is genuinely challenging — and let the hypertrophy days be where you chase the pump and extra volume.
